Boat Houses on Pautahanui Lagoon

Colourful boathouses line the shore line on the north side of the Pauatahanui Lagoon below a steep hill covered in native vegetation. Homes line the top of the hill. The boathouses are painted in different colours and create a bright contrast to the still, dark water of the lagoon. No people are visible on a cool winter's day.
