Pauatahanui Estuary

View looking across the calm waters of the estuary at Pauatahanui, north of Wellington, towards Whitby. The lagoon waters are in the foreground with a thin strip of beach, and the homes in the surrounding suburbs can be seen on the hills in the background. A single stand-up paddle-boarder is on the estuary. There are vehicles on the road on the far side of the estuary, and a thin scar of the new Transmission Gully highway can be seen stretching across the hills.
